Server dan Website Down

Setelah selama 28 jam down, server-server dan website-website yang saya kelola kembali online sore ini. Syukurlah.

Musibah yang disebabkan adanya ledakan di bangunan datacenter di US ini mengakibatkan "matinya" lebih dari 9.000 server dan puluhan ribu website di dalamnya, termasuk Bursa FN dan puluhan web yang saya kelola.

Akhir-akhir ini saya sering dikejutkan oleh foto-foto infrared yang bergaya unik, sebagai foto FPE di FN. Fotografernya adalah Mas Fitra, Fitra Pranadjaja. Ya, tak heran, karena memang foto-foto tsb. unik dan indah. The Beauty of Digital Infrared. Dan tentu saja saya ikut merasa bangga, karena kamera yang digunakannya dari keluarga MyInfrared Inside, Nikon Infrared, D50ir, Full Infrared.

Infrared Exhibition @ PHOTOWEEK2007

MyInfrared.com menyelenggarakan acara "Pameran Foto Infrared Terbanyak 2007" untuk menciptakan Rekor MURI baru. Acara ini menjadi bagian dari Indonesia Photoweek2007 yang diselenggarakan di Bandung.

MyInfrared Roadshow @ Bali, 26-28 Sep. 2007

Next week, 24-26 Sep. 2007, I will go to Bali for a photo shoot with my fellow Nusantara Photo Club ( NPC ) members. It's a good time to add some more pictures in my collection ... :)

Then I arrange an Infrared Roadshow on 26-28th Sep. 2007. I can modify Nikon cameras to a dedicated infrared cameras. So Bali photographers don't need to send their cameras to Bandung.

New BW version of Nikon D40 IR

Nikon D40 is the only Nikon DSLR camera that can NOT be preseted as a modified infrared camera. The original result from the camera is a reddish picture. But we can still use it as a modified digital infrared cameras, as long as you use it in RAW / NEF format. We can then process it in Nikon capture NX software, modify the White Balance (WB) setting and change the red and balance value to yours.

One day a good friend of mine who is using my modded D40IR camera, dr. Lukas, showed me his black & white (BW) picture. I was surprised with the result. Extraordinary BW picture !

Eureka !!!
I got the idea to create a new version of infrared cameras, BW version with the Nikon D40. Then I did a special modification that night & bring my new BW D40 IR everyday to test the result. Now I'm ready to launch it as my new version of infrared cameras.

My IR @ PSA Exhibition

I got a notification from PSA, Photographic Society of America, that 4 of my pictures "Accepted" on this prestigious event. And one of them is an infrared picture taken with my D70ir in Bali.

I love this picture.
It was taken during my holiday with my wife. I used Sigma zoom 12-24mm and decided to shoot from very low angle to dramatize the scene.
